STANDING ORDER

To

All Relief Officers,

Subject: The storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of relief materials by suppliers of relief materials.

2. The matter has been examined. Every supplier of relief materials carrying on the storage of relief materials shall make an application in Form G to the State Executive Committee within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Relief Officer shall ensure that fire safety certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Executive Committee within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
