STANDING ORDER
To
All Relief Officers,
Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Fire Services within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. The Relief Officer shall ensure that evacuation plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
