STANDING ORDER

All Executive Engineers,

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005 (Maharashtra Act 18 of 2005), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form F to the Board within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Executive Engineer shall ensure that sample of water is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
