STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Press Registrars,

Subject: The publication of books by publishers of books under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of books by publishers of books.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of books carrying on the publication of books shall make an application in Form IV to the Registering Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Press Registrar shall ensure that certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
