STANDING ORDER

To

All Licensing Officers,

Subject: The running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cinema within the municipal limits carrying on the running of a cinema shall make an application in Form F to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Licensing Officer shall ensure that vending certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka.
