STANDING ORDER

All Fertiliser Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a cold storage by operators of a cold storage.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cold storage carrying on the running of a cold storage shall make an application in Form D to the Insecticides Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Fertiliser Inspector shall ensure that insecticide is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Insecticides Board within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Kerala.
