STANDING ORDER

To

All Wild Life Wardens,

Subject: Dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1964), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in wild animal articles by dealers in wild animal articles.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in wild animal articles carrying on dealing in wild animal articles shall make an application in Form I to the Chief Wild Life Warden within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Wild Life Warden shall ensure that hazardous substance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Wild Life Warden within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
