STANDING ORDER

To

All District Collectors,

Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form B to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat.
