STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Controllers,

Subject: The operation of critical information infrastructure by operators of a critical information infrastructure under the Kerala Police Act, 2011, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Police Act, 2011 (Kerala Act 8 of 2011), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of critical information infrastructure by operators of a critical information infrastructure.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a critical information infrastructure carrying on the operation of critical information infrastructure shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Kerala within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Controller shall ensure that personal data is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Kerala within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Kerala.
