STANDING ORDER

To

All Registering Officers,

Subject: The publication of a periodical by publishers under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of a periodical by publishers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher carrying on the publication of a periodical shall make an application in Form VI to the Broadcasting Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Registering Officer shall ensure that broadcast licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Broadcasting Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
