STANDING ORDER

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 (Rajasthan Act 15 of 1956), the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Rajasthan.
