STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: Registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978 (Kerala Act 20 of 1978), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board.

2. The matter has been examined. Every building worker registered with the Board carrying on registration with the Welfare Board shall make an application in Form 16 to the appropriate Government within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that wage record is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the appropriate Government within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
