STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the retail vend of liquor by retail vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form F to the Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that excise seal is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
