STANDING ORDER

To

All Incident Commanders,

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form D to the Relief Commissioner within one day, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Incident Commander shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within one day.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
