STANDING ORDER

All Superintending Engineers,

Subject: The sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Labour Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall make an application in Form G to the Irrigation Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Superintending Engineer shall ensure that water course is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Irrigation Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Rajasthan.
