STANDING ORDER

To

All Divisional Canal Officers,

Subject: The sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a tube well by owners of a tube well.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tube well carrying on the sinking of a tube well shall make an application in Form F to the River Basin Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Divisional Canal Officer shall ensure that reservoir is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the River Basin Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan.
