STANDING ORDER

All Drawing and Disbursing Officers,

Subject: The execution of contracts by contractors under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of contracts by contractors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the execution of contracts shall make an application in Form GFR 12-C to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Drawing and Disbursing Officer shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
