STANDING ORDER

To

All Station House Officers,

Subject: The manufacture of fireworks by manufacturers of fireworks under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1937), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of fireworks by manufacturers of fireworks.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of fireworks carrying on the manufacture of fireworks shall make an application in Form VII to the Commissioner of Police within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Station House Officer shall ensure that printing machine is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Police within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
