STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 (Andhra Pradesh Act 30 of 1987), the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a waqf by mutawallis.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form H to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that audit report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Andhra Pradesh within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
