STANDING ORDER

To

All Sanitary Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Agriculture Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a cinema by operators of a cinema within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cinema within the municipal limits carrying on the running of a cinema shall make an application in Form C to the Director of Municipal Administration within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Sanitary Inspector shall ensure that street is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Municipal Administration within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Gujarat.
