STANDING ORDER

To

All Rent Controllers,

Subject: The business of a real estate agent by real estate agents under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963 (Maharashtra Act 45 of 1963), the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a real estate agent by real estate agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every real estate agent carrying on the business of a real estate agent shall make an application in Form G to the Competent Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Rent Controller shall ensure that possession letter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Competent Authority within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
