STANDING ORDER

To

All Drugs Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment under the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1949 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1949), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a clinical establishment carrying on the running of a clinical establishment shall make an application in Form 29 to the National Medical Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Drugs Inspector shall ensure that certificate of registration is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Medical Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
