STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Controllers,
Subject: The processing of personal data by data fiduciaries under the Kerala Police Act, 2011, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Police Act, 2011 (Kerala Act 8 of 2011), the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the processing of personal data by data fiduciaries.
2. The matter has been examined. Every data fiduciary carrying on the processing of personal data shall make an application in Form E to the Unique Identification Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Deputy Controller shall ensure that register of users is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Unique Identification Authority within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala.
