STANDING ORDER

To

All Principal Officers,

Subject: The recycling of ships by ship recyclers under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat Act 30 of 1981), the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the recycling of ships by ship recyclers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every ship recycler carrying on the recycling of ships shall make an application in Form 4 to the Maritime Board within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Principal Officer shall ensure that certificate of registry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Maritime Board within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
