STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Andhra Pradesh Act 35 of 2001), the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a pilgrim lodge carrying on the running of a pilgrim lodge shall make an application in Form H to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner of Endowments within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
