New Delhi, dated the 13th February, 2016

STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form H to the Licensing Authority within ten days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
