STANDING ORDER

All District Collectors,

Subject: The running of a fuel station by operators of a fuel station under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962 (Kerala Act 20 of 1962), the Law Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a fuel station by operators of a fuel station.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a fuel station carrying on the running of a fuel station shall make an application in Form G to the State Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The District Collector shall ensure that fire safety certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Kerala.
