STANDING ORDER
To
All Village Accountants,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Revenue Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Punjab.
