STANDING ORDER

To

All Registering Officers,

Subject: The printing of a periodical by printers under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the printing of a periodical by printers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every printer carrying on the printing of a periodical shall make an application in Form II to the Registering Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Registering Officer shall ensure that film is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Maharashtra.
