STANDING ORDER

To

All Social Security Officers,

Subject: Registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board under the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Headload Workers Act, 1978 (Kerala Act 20 of 1978), the Labour Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board.

2. The matter has been examined. Every building worker registered with the Board carrying on registration with the Welfare Board shall make an application in Form 2 to the Regional Board within forty-two days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Social Security Officer shall ensure that register of employees is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regional Board within forty-two days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Kerala.
