STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Development Officers,

Subject: The working of a brick kiln in a village by owners of a brick kiln in a village under the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1962 (Maharashtra Act 5 of 1962), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brick kiln in a village by owners of a brick kiln in a village.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a brick kiln in a village carrying on the working of a brick kiln in a village shall make an application in Form 3 to the Director of Panchayats within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Panchayat Development Officer shall ensure that ferry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Panchayats within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
