STANDING ORDER

To

All Treasury Officers,

Subject: The taking of mortgages by mortgagees under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999 (Rajasthan Act 14 of 1999), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of mortgages by mortgagees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee carrying on the taking of mortgages shall make an application in Form F to the Collector within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Treasury Officer shall ensure that stamp paper is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan.
