STANDING ORDER

To

All Gram Sevaks,

Subject: The running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre under the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1993), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a common service centre carrying on the running of a common service centre shall make an application in Form 4 to the Gram Sabha within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Gram Sevak shall ensure that village map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Sabha within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Karnataka.
