STANDING ORDER

To

All Junior Engineers,

Subject: The operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005 (Maharashtra Act 18 of 2005), the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a water supply scheme shall make an application in Form D to the River Basin Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Junior Engineer shall ensure that dam is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the River Basin Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
