STANDING ORDER

To

All Recruiting Officers,

Subject: Enrolment as a cadet by cadets under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 (Maharashtra Act 22 of 1951), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to enrolment as a cadet by cadets.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cadet carrying on enrolment as a cadet shall make an application in Form H to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Recruiting Officer shall ensure that notice of manoeuvres is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
