STANDING ORDER
To
All Forest Guards,
Subject: The transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1964), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of forest produce carrying on the transit of forest produce shall make an application in Form II to the State Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. The Forest Guard shall ensure that consent is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Board within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
