All Inspectors of Telegraphs,
Subject: The use of spectrum by person holding an authorisations under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 (24 of 1997), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby directs
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of spectrum by person holding an authorisations.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person holding an authorisation carrying on the use of spectrum shall make an application in Form A to the Telecommunication Engineering Centre within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. The Inspector of Telegraphs shall ensure that register of subscribers is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Telecommunication Engineering Centre within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this direction may be brought to the notice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
