STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 2 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar.
