STANDING ORDER

To

All Fire Officers,

Subject: The safety of a school building by owners of a school building under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007 (Maharashtra Act 3 of 2007), the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the safety of a school building by owners of a school building.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a school building carrying on the safety of a school building shall make an application in Form E to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that incident report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
