New Delhi, dated the 5th January, 2011

STANDING ORDER

All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form H to the Excise Commissioner within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that still is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Excise Commissioner within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
