STANDING ORDER
To
All Naib Tahsildars,
Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Urban Development Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the possession of land by persons in possession of land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Board of Revenue within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Goa.
