STANDING ORDER

To

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of a temple by executives officer of a temple.

2. The matter has been examined. Every executive officer of a temple carrying on the administration of a temple shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that trust property is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
