STANDING ORDER

To

All District Sports Officers,

Subject: The running of a stadium by operators of a stadium under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the General Administration Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a stadium by operators of a stadium.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a stadium carrying on the running of a stadium shall make an application in Form E to the Agency within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The District Sports Officer shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Agency within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Goa.
