STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Social Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 7 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that certificate of occupancy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
