STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of excisable articles by transporters.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form H to the District Excise Officer within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
