STANDING ORDER
To
All Range Forest Officers,
Subject: The transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (Kerala Act 4 of 1961), the Environment Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transit of forest produce by owners of forest produce.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of forest produce carrying on the transit of forest produce shall make an application in Form VIII to the State Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Range Forest Officer shall ensure that hazardous substance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Board within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Kerala.
