STANDING ORDER

All Market Secretaries,

Subject: Membership of a society by members under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1987), the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to membership of a society by members.

2. The matter has been examined. Every member carrying on membership of a society shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Market Secretary shall ensure that seed is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
