STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: The retail vend of liquor by retail vendors under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Environment Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the retail vend of liquor by retail vendors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every retail vendor carrying on the retail vend of liquor shall make an application in Form H to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that bottle is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
