STANDING ORDER

To

All Health Officers,

Subject: The running of a private market by operators of a private market under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a private market by operators of a private market.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private market carrying on the running of a private market shall make an application in Form E to the Standing Committee within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Health Officer shall ensure that building plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
