STANDING ORDER
To
All Patwaris,
Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the General Administration Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Tahsildar within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Patwari shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within seven days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Goa.
